What’s your idea of working in care? We’d love to share a glimpse of life at Salutem with you!
Firstly, let’s introduce you to the lives of the children and young people we support. Despite their disabilities the children we support live life to the max. In addition to providing education, therapy and care, we make sure we have lots of fun too. It’s common to find us having dance offs, bake days, enjoying sensory and relaxation activities, as well as playing football and going on trips to the cinema or bowling – and much more!
This really doesn’t sound like work does it? But the job you do could make the biggest difference, as you could be the reason our young people are able to live their best lives, and live a life to love, despite all their daily challenges.
We’re Salutem and we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children and adults in England and Wales across our residential homes, schools and day centres.
Our Support team at Salutem encourage children and young people to fulfil a stable daily routine and achieve their best. The children and young people we look after may have disabilities or require complex care, but that doesn’t stop them from having fun, laughing hard and loving life.
At Orchard House we believe that teamwork makes the dreamwork! You could say we care for each other as much as we care for the individuals we support, but that’s because we know by working well as a team, we will achieve the very best for the children and young people here.
We recently won the Salutem Step Challenge, which was a wellbeing initiative run by our organisation where our teamwork really brought us together to succeed! We were so pleased to be awarded first place after we walked nearly 3.6 million steps, which could have taken us to Greece or Tunisia!
But that’s what makes us who we are, we work hard and achieve great things, and we’re so lucky to have so much fun while we do it! Not to mention witness the amazing outcomes for the people we support, who really do live their best lives.
If we sound like your type of people and you’re looking for a job where fun is on the agenda, please apply today to join our team.
