As the Team Manager of the Disabled Children’s Referral & Access Team you will be working alongside the Children with Disabilities Team (0-18) and the Young Adults Team (18-25). You will also work closely with our in-house providers of short breaks, health and education professionals and a range of private and voluntary organisations. We pride ourselves on providing our Social Workers and alternatively qualified staff with a friendly, safe and supportive environment to work. As a Team Manager in the Disabled Childrens Referral & Access Team you will be vital in providing this.
Your role will include allocating work, performance monitoring and supporting the development of the team. You will be able to think on your feet in terms of case allocation and understanding thresholds. You will have proven experience at being able to thrive in a busy environment and will have demonstrated resilience.
Prior experience and understanding of SEND is therefore essential, in addition to having a safeguarding background and experience in managing risk.
You will be working 18.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. This post will primarily be based out of the Buttsgrove Centre in Huntingdon, but with the ability to work from home as part of a hybrid model.
