Salary: £21,597 – £26,743 per annum

We are recruiting for experienced youth workers, and suitable qualified people as Student Link Workers to join the Student Services team at Southwark College. You will have experience of working with 16–19-year-olds and adults with high social needs in an advice setting.

In this role you will support and assist students at risk of leaving or failing their course and to get on track socially, emotionally, academically. Work with student support, student services and curriculum teams to build an understanding of each student and develop an individual plan of WRAP round intervention and support. To engage fully in the student’s journey at college from the beginning to a positive destination outcome. You will provide and promote specialist advice and guidance to students on a range of issues by planning and delivering tailored support programmes for individual students and small groups up to 6-week intervals to include a focus on attendance, digital skills, English and Maths catch up sessions, employability, buddying and mentoring. Engage with parents and carers pro-actively as part of family and community links both in and outside of the college.

You will work with other members of the Student Services teams and teaching staff to advertise the service and ensure that information is reaching all students/Staff across the organisation.
