We are looking to appoint a Stock and Environmental Surveyor for our Asset Management team. This is a pivotal role within our Decent Neighbourhood team which provides a fantastic opportunity for you to assist in leading, developing, and promoting effective assessment and implementation for the Company.
This exciting role will see the successful candidate responsible for supporting the Decent Neighbourhood Manager to maintain the organisations property and environmental asset database – your role will require you to undertake surveys of Nottingham City Homes stock, including legal disrepair and mutual exchange surveys and be actively involved in the running of our Decent Neighbourhoods programme.
We will look to you to ensure that all relevant information including the effective collection of data relating to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and the assessment/rating of stock is captured and uploaded into the Asset Management System, while also stock assessments on behalf of the various services areas across the Company.
You will work collaboratively with the Decent Neighbourhoods Manager to produce and update programmes of servicing or planned maintenance works, to ensure that we are offering the best possible service and properties to our tenants and leaseholders.
This role will require you to be an active presence on our sites across Nottingham City, undertaking regular site inspections and ad hoc surveys to ensure that quality standards are achieved. You will need to diagnose causes of defects relating to fabric and structural failure to domestic dwellings and blocks of flats, liaising with relevant teams as necessary to rectify and make safe, as well as pro-actively look for environmental opportunities for our Decent Neighbourhood Programme
In order to succeed in this role, you will come to us with experience in surveying within a housing environment as well as knowledge of building and construction archetypes and relevant building legislation, including CDM, HHSRS/EPC’s and their potential impact. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate sometimes complicated information to a wide range of stakeholders is also essential to this role.
