In line with our exciting plans for transformation and growth and the delivery of outstanding care for our children and young people, we are now looking to appoint NQ Speech & Language Therapists, to work across a number of our Specialist Educational services.

Our SEN Services are committed to improving the educational outcomes of all our children and young adults, providing support for children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and complex needs. We support our students from the age of 7 to the Transition Pathway, delivering specialist primary, secondary schools further education services.

Job Role

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be independently working with individuals with your supervisor’s support, to assess communication needs in a range of environments, implement approaches to support communication based on the outcome of individual’s assessments and provide functional targets and recommendations to aid day-to-day communicative success. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support the implementation of the therapeutic approach across the environment.

You will respond to referrals and be responsible for ensuring an inclusive communication environment is maintained, audits are completed and the RCSLT 5 good communication standards are utilised. A key aspect of your role will be to work effectively as part of the companywide SLT team and contribute to service development.

About You

The successful candidate for this role will have a degree or a postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and be or eligible to registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will be able to use your initiative and be a self-motivated individual that can work as part of a team as well as autonomously. You will have experience working with individuals that have Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders and preferably have experiences with AAC approaches.

Successful candidates will need to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and we are committed to safeguarding and protecting the people within our care. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.

Salary: £28,407 per annum

Location: Andover, SP11 8TA
