Job Introduction

Our IT department is looking for a Solutions Delivery Specialist who has extensive experience of delivering large IT projects.  The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge across IT Network Infrastructure.  This would ideally include experience with Cisco, Palo Alto and F5 technology. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and telephony would also be an advantage. 

This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a project delivery team helping to shape the future of Skipton Building Society via the delivery of a variety of large scale and complex IT infrastructure projects.  The IT department underpins the operations of Skipton Building Society and allows us to utilise technology more effectively to better serve our customers. 

Main Responsibilities

The role will see you working on the full life-cycle of projects and you will be a key part of their planning, delivery and handover into operational IT areas.

You will be responsible for producing detailed designs aligned to business and technical requirements as well as delivering high quality solutions to timescales and cost.  This will be done in accordance with the Society’s IT project management processes and methodology, working closely with the ProjectManagement team to plan, test and implement projects as prioritised by the Business.

All solutions will be accompanied by supporting documentation allowing support teams to maintain the service for the life of the solution. 

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who not only has very strong technical skills and project delivery experience but more importantly would be a perfect fit at Skipton Building Society. Possession of a broad technical understanding of IT Infrastructure and a track record of designing and delivering Projects would be major asset. 

As part of the IT Solutions Delivery team you will work closely and build relationships with other IT areas and the wider business to provide new solutions for the benefit of the Society and its customers.  Fostering and enhancing strong working relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and colleagues will be crucial for the role. 

As part of the role you will be encouraged to further develop your technical skills and knowledge, and will also be provided with support for your on-going career development.
