We are opening a new site in Fareham! Our new Distribution Centre will be a 117,000 sq ft modern DC that will be moving up to 270,000 cases per week and will be servicing our group customers across both retail and catering such as Londis, Budgens and Premier
Your duties within the role will be:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Clerk to join our team based at our Booker Distribution Centre in Fareham . You will support the day to day administration of the Transport department, overseeing the Operations Clerks.
There are various shifts available for this role
As a Senior Operations Clerk some of the key accountabilities will include:-
- Planning tasks and functions of the Transport Clerks
- Deliver weekly and periodical data gathering and reporting routines in line with Operating mode
- support the delivery of Cost, Safety, Productivity, Service, Cultural
- Vehicles departing at the correct Temperature
- Pre Brief and Debrief compliance
- Pre Journey driver checks carried out by the Clerks
- Admin Legal compliance
- Day to day management of the Transport Operation such as route departures
- Tachographs downloads
- Communication with managers, liaising with team members from transport as well as warehouse and CST
To be successful in the role you should have:
Data Entry / Administrative Experience
GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent level numeric and literacy skills)
PC Literate
Excellent communication skills
Ability to analyse verbal and numeric data
Able to work on own initiative and under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team
Good Time management and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with HGV drivers or within a similar transport role would be ideal however, we will consider transferable skills.
Shift Hours: 37.50 hrs per week (Various shifts available)
