Salary: Up to £65,000 (pro rata)
We have a very exciting opportunity within the Product team for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Legacy Portfolio Performance team, ensuring the legacy portfolio on both mortgages and savings continues to offer fair value to all and supports the ongoing objectives of the Society as a whole. This is a 12 month contract.
You’ll be responsible for managing the Society’s mortgage and savings product back book portfolio, ensuring we meet our all the Consumer Duty requirements in the process. You will do this by creating, presenting and influencing decisions made by members of the Executive and Enterprise Leaders (EL) team through robust proposals to change front/back book products.
You should be able to use all the relevant tools and MI at your disposal, being able to interpret data and spot trends on a daily basis. You will need to communicate these across the business in a simple and clear way and establish a network of contacts across the organisation, at a Senior Manager or EL level in order to have a detailed understanding of all aspects of the business, most notably the operational areas, to effect change and to ensure you consider a balanced scorecard approach to any proposal.
For this role we are able to accommodate 25 – 35 hours a week but we recognise that working hours and flexibility will look different for each person. For this role you’ll already be a proven leader with extensive experience of leading high performing financial services, savings and mortgage product teams, being fully committed to the to the personal development of each of your team members. You’ll have strong persuading and influencing skills at senior stakeholder and exec level.
You must be a confident individual with excellent communication skills, able to deliver simple but engaging comms both verbally and written, in order to gain buy-in to proposals. You’ll be able to make decisions and work to tight deadlines due to the fast-paced nature of the markets we operate in. An ability to interpret all data, whether qualitative or quantitative is important as will challenging data and pre-conceived ideas/processes.
