As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer you will be part of the team responsible for the operation our public cloud (Microsoft Azure). The role requires skills and experience across the Microsoft Azure stack to enable the successful automation, monitoring and management of our Azure environment.
Utilising your skills and experience and bringing knowledge from internal and external sources you will implement new ways of working aligned to best practice to support our IT services in the cloud.
You will implement new technologies and processes ensuring services are configured for maximum efficiency and flexibility and the right level of governance and control to ensure our services and data are safe and secure.
What you will be doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
– Management of the cloud platform to meet operational needs, service levels and business change demand.
– Monitoring metrics and adjusting configurations for optimum availability and performance.
– Configuring the cloud platform for required functionality and performance.
– Investigating and resolving problems.
What you will bring
To succeed in this role you should have a thorough knowledge of Cloud platforms with relevant understanding of the system development lifecycle and the service management lifecycle.
You need to be Azure certified for this role with ITIL and scrum experience too.
