Relief Visitor Services Assistant – Market Hall Café

The Market Hall Museum

The 17th Century Market Hall stands in the heart of our historic town, a popular destination for both locals and visitors to Warwick.

Market Hall Café
Supporting local suppliers and the museum, our café is popular with both locals and visitors to Warwick. Customers can drink in or take away a Monsoon Estates Coffee, or try our speciality Golden Monkey teas, whilst enjoying our menu of cakes, paninis, sandwiches and toasties. We have indoor seating, plus outdoor seating available in the summer months.

The Role
Our Visitor Services Assistants are passionate about promoting our services, motivated to achieve income targets, and dedicated to serving our visitors and the local community. Your focus will be covering the busy museum café. Daily tasks could vary between making fresh paninis, speciality teas and barista style coffee, to promoting our cream tea offer and in-house events.

Relief Visitor Services Assistants work on an ad hoc basis to cover staff holidays, absences, and extra activities at the museum, when required. This will include working weekends. Our opening hours are 10am – 5pm Tuesday – Saturday, with occasional Sundays throughout the year.

The Candidate
Happy to work in a busy customer-facing environment, you are confident and speaking to a wide range of people. Good levels of numeracy and literacy are essential to this role. Please see Job Description for full criteria. Full training will be given.
