Overview
We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Violence Reduction Lead to work within the north division of Cygnet.
The experienced candidate will hold significant experience in violence reduction ideally within a clinical mental health and learning disability organisation.
You will be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to influence improvements in clinical practice maximising the quality and safety of the care provided throughout the region.
You will be an expert resource and be available to support staff and services where needed. You will support the Violence reduction lead and the Regional Nurse Director in ensuring the positive and safe care agenda within the region is taken forward with a clear plan.
This will be an exciting role where you can make a real difference in support our staff and service users.
The role will be home based within the north of the country and there will be a need to travel to sites where needed.
Qualification and Experience:
- The Post-holder will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the delivery of a BILD ACT accredited Physical Interventions model at Senior Tutor Level or equivalent.
- Hold a Teaching qualification at Level 4 or equivalent.
- Be qualified at Emergency First Aid at Work as a minimum.
- Be qualified in the use of Mechanical Restraint.
- Have extensive experience reviewing incidents in the use of force via CCTV and incident reporting systems.
- Have experience in conducting Investigations.
- Hold a qualification in Violence Reduction or be willing to undertake this when a course is made available.
- Have a minimum of 5 years Clinical experience supporting teams relating to use of force and violence reduction strategies.
