Operational Resource Planner

£20,092-£21,748 per annum

22 hours per week – 3 full days per week (working days are negotiable)

As an Operational Resource Planner at Nottingham City Homes, your key function will be to support the Business Services Manager in the delivery of a comprehensive and efficient repairs service to customers. You will be responsible for coordinating appointments and scheduling the workload of trades colleagues and/ or contractors.  

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills to manage daily emergency jobs, non-appointed tasks, variations, follow on jobs, cancelled and suspended jobs, as well as completing the associated follow up administration of these works. Along with the Repairs Service Manager, you will need to forward plan; ensuring goods and services are ordered in advance, that diaries are being utilised to their full potential and that resources are used efficiently to meet key performance indicators.  

You will ideally have previous administration experience as the role will involve providing a robust administrative support service to the team. Duties include; responding to correspondence and telephone calls, inputting data, updating computerised information, updating and maintaining concise manual records. You will be required to support meetings, including coordinating agenda items, taking minutes and distribution of documentation as and when required.  

As you will be communicating directly with members of the public, it is essential you possess excellent customer service skills as well as objection handling skills as you may on occasion assist the customer relationship officers in dealing with customer complaints. You will display effective communication skills and an ability to communicate with a wide range of colleagues and customers at all levels. You will display these skills through a range of methods including face to face discussions, in meetings, through written correspondence (via email and letter) and on the telephone. 

A large proportion of the job involves using computers and therefore the ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of common Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel to produce reports, documents, update spreadsheets for the service area and memos etc. You may also be required to run service delivery reports to highlight any operational issues, carry out data cleansing and the data clearing of PDA devices, therefore the ability to pick up new working processes is essential.
