Nutritionist 
Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE) – Pro-Rota
Fixed Term role until end of October. 

National Coverage – The role is a mobile position with frequent travel to B&I sites, Chertsey and Birmingham Head Offices.

B&I are looking for a Nutritionist to join our award-winning team. In 2020 we rebranded with three pillars at the heart of our food philosophy; Flavourful, Mindful and Planet Positive. The Nutritionist is a highly motivated individual responsible for leading the strategy for mindful and planet positive pillars, implementing brand standards and delivering initiatives which drive healthy and sustainable food offers. This includes progress towards our Climate Promise Roadmap to Net Zero by 2030.

You will work with key stakeholders to gather the relevant information required to ensure the nutritional analysis system is up to date and accurate.  The role will be to nutritionally analyse all food and drink products/ingredients and sign off on recipe analysis using our nutritional analysis system, Saffron.

Key responsibilities include:
  • In-depth knowledge of recipe and ingredient analysis as well as an eye for detail to ensure a proactive approach to accuracy of information. 
  • Engage with key stakeholders and will translate complex nutrition information into simple messages relating to food and health.
  • Work closely with our recipe owners to ensure that recipes are written correctly and can be nutritionally analysed through our systems. 
  • Support the food offer with knowledge of legislation around food and nutrition including the Food Information Regulations.
  • Attend monthly meetings with B&I Culinary team
  • Provide expert knowledge of food and nutrition
About you:
  • Graduate of an accredited nutrition degree from university
  • Registered or Associate with the Association for Nutrition
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly gain credibility with key stakeholder groups
  • Professional, organised, presentable, efficient and self-motivated
  • A passion for keeping up to date with research and national health events
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to manage a busy diary
  • Ability to work solo and remain self-motivated
