JOB PURPOSE

 

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Shoes Leadership Team with all aspects of Financial performance, pro-actively looking for value creation opportunities, enabling business decision-making and championing cost and margin focus.  Reporting directly to Finance Director, Supply Chain and Product, the Business Partner will own the relationship with VP Shoes and will lead all activities to support the growth agenda and deliver tangible results.

 

As a Finance Manager, you will use your finance expertise, connecting seamlessly with your Business and Finance colleagues, to provide Industrial controlling support, influencing decisions or strategy to deliver effective margin management. 
You will have full responsibility for the financial aspects of partnership initiatives and cost saving programmes with key vendors and suppliers looking across the relationship from development  through to finished product.

 

The role has a strong strategy focus as it supports the Shoes business unit, local Product Development teams and requires cross-functional collaboration & strong leadership to drive end-to-end process alignment.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Supporting the Finance Director, to establish focused industrial controlling support to the Shoes Business Unit including operations and supply chain. 
  • Lead and manage key stakeholders achieve financial targets 
  • Develop insightful reporting and analysis and provide product costing guidance for seasonal forecasts, budget, and 4YP plan
  • Create new flows in order to lead business on new way of working supported by analytical analysis and strong overview of the entire business;
  • Critically assess and revisit the 4YP against the  Strategy and create financial modelling to highlight key investment areas as well as business as usual headwinds and opportunities for creating robust business cases 
  • Partner with business teams to establish and map out the strategic supplier/vendor relationships, through commodity market analysis, performance tracking, effective profitability and cost structure analysis and support any negotiations and business development
  • Partner with the business teams on margin management and associated initiatives. Establish robust business partnering support in RM management and RM excess management. 
  • Ensure sufficient financial rigour is applied on all key investment decisions and track initiatives and saving projects through Supply Chain to their final impact on Product Margin
  • Set up the structure for effective cross-business margin management initiatives such as strategic investment opportunities or cost efficiency projects
  • Manage direct / indirect reports to optimise their performance and enable their development, both as individuals and as a team. Through clear objectives and regular coaching.
  • Propose new way to work in order to simplify the process and lead as innovator (with the use of new tool like Business Intelligence, RPA, etc).
  • Support Investments decisions creating business case to support future plans.

PERSONAL PROFILE

 

  • Master Degree in Economics/Post Lauream MBA
  • Strong analytical background, good attention to detail.
  • Ability to innovate and propose new flow in order to simplify processes
  • Commercial mindset 
  • Ability to see short and long term effects of possible actions.
  • Business partnering with non-finance individuals and teams
  • Proven track record of driving improvements/cost savings
  • Previous support to manufacturing and/or sourcing/buying, merchandising
