Export Control and Sanctions Compliance Officer

Renishaw's Group Trade and Compliance team is currently looking to recruit an Export Control and Sanctions Officer.

This wide-ranging role will encompass development and delivery of specialist compliance based training, supporting operational export control activities and also leading on our trade compliance screening processes for end users.


  • Assist with the development, publishing and delivery of new/revised compliance training and content.

  • Provide subject matter updates at the global monthly trade compliance meetings.

  • Provide third party screening training to users across Renishaw Group.

  • Administer the Company’s government export control portal accounts (SPIRE/LITE) and Renishaw’s third party screening software.

  • Support licence applications across Renishaw divisions and subsidiaries.

  • Regularly support and provide precise records in relation to due diligence data.

  • Lead the screening process for customers, suppliers, shareholders and other third parties. This will involve elements of project coordination and task tracking.

  • Input and maintain accurate data records for all trade compliance activities.

  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date work instructions, flowcharts, policies, and procedure to minimise errors and share best practice.

Key requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience of working in an international sanctions and trade compliance team.

  • Ability to thrive when coordinating a range of diverse tasks.

Desirable requirements

  • Familiarity with Workday Learning.

  • Understanding of SAGE and D365 software.
