What you’ll be doing

Reporting into the Campaigns Director, the successful candidate for this digital specialist role will work across elements of all of Orion’s imprints and publishing, taking ownership of many strands of our digital marketing output. This includes working alongside the Campaigns Director to devise and implement our overall company social media, direct-to-consumer sales and CRM strategy; being our in-house expert across all established and emerging digital advertising platforms; managing a varied range of frontlist marketing campaigns; leading our backlist, grouped product and seasonal promotions; developing the paid and organic strategy for a range of our key imprints and communities; and reporting back to the wider business on campaign results and digital best practice. They will also work closely with our Campaigns Manager to develop the brand strategy for our LKP imprint and the books and gifts they publish.

Who we are looking for

Our ideal candidate will have proven of experience in a digital-focused marketing role, with a deep understanding of all major social media platforms and tools, implementing and managing digital advertising across a range of channels, using creative software such as Photoshop and other relevant Adobe programs, as well as working across the WordPress platform and direct-to-consumer eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.

As well as strong copywriting skills and creative vision, you’ll also demonstrate excellent budget management and outstanding attention to detail. You’ll understand how to reach different consumers with targeted messaging and initiatives and have plenty of experience working with third parties and influencers on partnerships to broaden the reach of your campaigns. As well as working with fellow digital specialists, you’ll also be able to report back results and adapt your communication style for a range of different stakeholders, to ensure you build excellent working relationships with departments across the business.

This role can be based at our London or Sheffield, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

Salary:

£33,500 – £35,000, dependent on experience and location (+ bonus +benefits)
