Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd line support for key business applications.
  • Ensure capacity, availability, security, and continuity for all application components.
  • Document and implement functional changes to business applications.
  • Coordinate user acceptance tests for new application releases.
  • Identify application requirements and improvement opportunities.
  • Build and implement new business solutions, including system integrations.
  • Collaborate on new systems, changes, and issues.
  • Assist in training users and creating training materials for key applications.
  • Manage development and testing environments across all systems.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent customer service
  • Motivated individual with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills and works well under pressure
  • Proven experience in an application support role
  • Hands on experience with software analysis, testing and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of database technologies (MSSQL, SSIS, SSAS) including excellent working knowledge of creating, analysing and refactoring of SQL queries.
  • Exposure to and understanding of: EPOS Systems, ERP Systems, Systems Integration and Data Transformation Platforms, Ecommerce Platforms, and Reporting Technologies 
  • Experience of rota work outside of core hours to support the IT team in resolving major incidents and implementation of changes.
  • A full clean driving license is essential as travel between group sites may be required.
